I’ve been reading and editing books ++ for most of my life. In fact, my concept of Heaven is a hammock, a glass of milk, a ham sandwich, an apple, and a plate of Oreo cookies with a good book. These days I “pay” for all that reading by writing book reviews.
The OCD side of me comes out in the editing. Ask my family…I’ve been annoying them for decades!

Author Tools is a free self-help resource for writers who are self-editing. I grew so frustrated with books full of word confusions, improper formatting, and bad punctuation, that I chose to take my frustrations out with posts to help writers.
Somehow, it also led to the grammar explanations — more than you’ll ever want to know about grammar, but an excellent resource when your editor or publisher flings foreign-sounding verbiage at you!
